By installing or using Bastian, you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the platform.

1. Definitions

"Service" refers to the Bastian AI assistant, plugin, API, or related tools.

"User" refers to the owner/operator of a site using Bastian.

"End-user" refers to visitors interacting with your website's Bastian widget.

2. License to use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Bastian on approved websites.

You may not:

• Resell or sublicense the service
• Reverse-engineer or copy internal mechanisms
• Circumvent rate limits or security controls

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bastian for:

• Illegal, harmful, or abusive activity
• Collecting sensitive personal data via the AI widget
• Generating misleading or unsafe content

Bastian is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice.

4. AI output disclaimer

Bastian pairs AI with PsiGuard's coherence monitoring to catch answers that drift or come apart, but no system is perfect.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy or suitability.

5. Subscription & billing

Paid plans renew monthly unless canceled. Billing is securely processed by Stripe.

We may update pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Termination

We may suspend access for non-payment, abuse, security risk, or violation of these Terms.

You may cancel at any time by removing Bastian and ending your plan.

7. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for damages arising from use or misuse of AI responses.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify PsiGuard and its affiliates from claims related to your use of the Service or violations of these Terms.

9. Updates

Terms may update over time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
